Danny’s been sick with a fever for a few days, I decided to take Abi out to do something while Pro tried to get Danny to get some sleep. We went to Five Rivers Wildlife Sanctuary. I’ve been there a bunch of times and I remember people feeding huge turtles off the bridge over the lake, so I thought that would be a good idea. Sadly, we didn’t see any turtles, but it was fun to go for a nature walk with Abi. She didn’t mind the lack of turtles at all, she just like being outside and exploring someplace “new”. We had a great time. I’m sad we didn’t get to do more of this during this past summer.

My memory isn’t the greatest, but I do know that it was about the 6 month mark with Abi that things really started becoming enjoyable all the time. She was on a good schedule, sleeping well, and starting to learn and do more things. I’m happy that I remember this because it gives me hope with Danny. Pro and I are tired all of the time. We bicker with each more than we have since Abi was his age. He doesn’t sleep very well, which means we don’t sleep very well … it takes the steam out of each day. We’re ready for things to start getting easier, and I know they will … in about a month. Danny just turned 5 months. And don’t get me wrong, he’s a lot of fun right now, smiles all the time, rolls over, tries to crawl, giggles at his sister, etc. He just doesn’t sleep longer than 45 minutes without needing attention of some kind. We’ll get there 

In other news, my online weight watchers for men subscription is over. I lost 21 pounds in 3 months. I still want to lose about 5 more pounds, but I feel great and my clothes fit better and look better. No more sucking in to get the belt thru the 1st hole … now it’s hole number 3 without sucking in.

I want badly to get back to running, but the weather hasn’t been cooperative. I run outside, and I’m not a cold weather runner … so I’m still waiting things out. I did get in a run last Sunday. I limited myself to 20 minutes because I’m old and haven’t run for over 7 months … made it 1.8 miles at about 11 minute mile pace. Not terrible all things considered, but I felt terrible the whole time …ugh.

My photo every other day project is going well, but as usual, I don’t have the time or energy to really get the shots I have floating around in my head. Still, it’s nice to have a record of the kids growing up.

I haven’t actually typed out a post in a while, figure I’m overdue. We’ll recap everyone from youngest to oldest:

• Dan-o … He’s been tougher than Abi to get into a regular sleeping pattern. He still doesn’t sleep thru the night, but he is getting better (sometimes). He’s a chunk like Abi was, even bigger I think. He’s a very happy baby now, always smiling (unless we’re trying to get him to sleep, then he cries).
• Abi … At the risk of sounding like “one of those parents” – She’s unbelievably smart for a 2-1/2 year old. You should see her work my iPod touch! Her current favorite shows are Veggie Tales and Curious George. Her favorite books include “How the Grinch Stole Christmas”, “The Cat in the Hat”, and “Curious George’s Birthday Surprise”.
• Pro … She’s back to work after 3 months maternity leave. She rocking weight watchers (we both are) and looking great. She’s currently waiting for Apple to announce the new iPad 2 so she can buy one and be the coolest kid on the block.
• Myself … Weight Watchers, I’m down 12 pounds and have 10 to go. I haven’t run at all since late fall and I don’t plan to run again until March. I hope I’m able to pick it up easily when I start again. I’m addicted to my iPod touch. I beat Angry Birds and I’m almost done with Angry Birds Seasons. I was up to almost 100 apps on my ipod, but I got rid of a few. I just recently became addicted to instagram and I’m patiently waiting for famous people to jump on board so I can live vicariously thru them. I need to get a new computer cuz the one we have isn’t powerful enough to handle RAW files and HD video from my Canon 60D

he slept like the dead for 3 weeks … now … not so much

So Daniel James Milo has come to join us. He was born this past friday at 6:30pm. He weighed 7pounds and 12 ounces and was 19″ long. Everyone is healthy and happy and starting to adjust to a new way of doing things. We’re very excited and blessed.

I’ve decide to do another “photo every other day” project for the year of 2011. I’ll be buying myself a new camera in a week or so, and I’ve been slowly buying lighting and studio equipment … so I figure it’ll be a good way to make use of all the stuff
