OK, this is another movie review that doesn’t count for 2008, but I went to see the movie, so I might as well give everyone a heads up. This movie stunk! Don’t waste your money. The fight scenes were terrible. You couldn’t even see the aliens as they were always in the shadows – even in the fight scenes. The storyline was … not good … even for sci-fi. I’m sad. I like the the 1st AVP very much.

I give this one 2 out of 5 stars.

I liked the last theme a lot, but it was causing problems with the photo gallery script … so I had to switch it (cuz I’m too stupid to fix it). This one will have to do for now. I’m sure I’ll change it again eventually.

Well, today I learned that caramelizing onions takes a long time and isn’t really worth it. Tastes ok, but it’s not like I was blown away or anything. Still, I made it, so here it is Please note, the photo of the onions is before they were done, they look much more deep brown when they’re finished:

OK, in an attempt to keep my audience informed (which is basically you, dad), I’ve added two new categories: food reviews and movie reviews. Then, at the end of 2008, I’ll be able to create a “Best of 2008″ post … good times. This particular review won’t even be considered for best of 2008 as it’s not yet 2008.

All that being said, the wife and I went to the Dragon Buffet for dinner last night. It’s on Central Ave across from Price Chopper … just up from New Karner Road. Simply put, we both ate so much we were disgusted with ourselves. It’s a big buffet with many, many choices … lots of food. Good service, empty plates were taken away almost before they were empty, soda refills came quick as well. On the negative side … the food was old, and a lot of it was fairly greasy. Still good, but old … like probably sitting there since just before lunch-ish.

In summary, cheap meal ($25.00 for both of us), good food, tons of choices … just not fresh food. I’ll give it 3 out of 5 stars.

I accidentally messed up my photo blog, so decided it was a good time to upgrade the software and start over. I kind of wanted to do this anyway … new year coming, why not start fresh. Anyway, there’s a few glitches, like you can’t see the thumbnail of the current image over there … I’ll fix that as soon as I figure out how to

I’d like to say that 2007 is going to be a “photo a day” year, but it’s not going to be. However, I am going to try to post only new stuff this coming year. No more going back thru my old pictures. At least, that’s the plan. I’ve put up the pictures from Thanksgiving that were on my old blog, and I’ll be adding more from that weekend … but the new year will bring new photos … I hope.
