You’ll notice you had to make an extra click to get to this page. I’ve done it this way so that no matter where I’m trying to direct people (photo blogs, this site, professional site), it’s always the same address – shutupmilo.
sorry if the change has annoyed you

I always kinda thought in the back of my head that one day I’d be sorry I chose “shutupmilo” as my domain name. I’m not quite there, yet, but sometimes I do wish it was more professional. I don’t really advertise myself, but from time to time I do get some paid portrait work … it would be nice to direct people to a website that didn’t have “shut up” in the title. Oh well, too late to change now, and I’m not going to buy another domain.
Most people don’t realize it, but I’m not telling myself to shut up – rather, I say “shut up!” a lot as an exclamation, like “no way!”. … get it?
Anyway, here‘s my new “professional” website
(ps … some of the images you’ll see are just place holders, I’ll choose some better one’s shortly)
(pps … that’s right, it’s a horizontally scrolling website – i did that on purpose – i like it)

For a couple years now I’ve wanted to get a decent set of images under one theme. For some reason, projects like this are hard for me … I lose focus. Well, I’m going to try again. I’m currently on an online photo challenge team which has been taking a lot of time, but that’s winding down now, so I should have time to focus.
Now, what should the series of images be? A tough question. In the past, I wanted to do portraits, but scheduling willing models, getting model releases, and setup/packup takes too much time. I also like street photography a lot, but even though it’s legal – I wouldn’t feel right selling images of people I’ve photographed in public without their knowing it (my opinion on this has changed many times).
I don’t have a long enough lens for birds, flowers are too common. I was thinking butterflies, but I’m on the fence now (can’t find many around here).
….. any ideas?
