the florida poem

nonstop driving, sandpaper instead of eyes
the drive doesn’t suck, don’t believe the lies
sad about no mercy, and linea will be missed
and let’s not forget morgan & amy, for them we’ll raise a fist
but the road trip continues, there’s fun to be had
smiles for everyone, except beth, who’s always mad
the fox went on ahead, with new rubber and stars inside
but the civic covered ground quickly, the milo’s know how to ride
aaron’s house ain’t big, and tyson isn’t small
but we made due for a night, pro’s snoring sang to us all
i’ll spare you every detail, the stories would make you cry
like the hoochie at the hot tub, who tried to hit on ty
so this poem instead is to thank you, double a & melis
without your love and open doors, the trip would have been a miss
an inside joke to finish things, this poem has used it’s time
in the words of the angry one, “i fricken hate this rhyme!”
