For some reason which I can’t explain, I have discovered a new found love of Pink Floyd. Years back, I’ve owned “Dark Side of the Moon”, “The Wall”, and “Delicate Sound of Thunder”. I liked them, but I wasn’t a huge fan … just a fan. I don’t own those CD’s (which were tapes when I owned them … I think) anymore.

I recently iPod-itized “Wish You Were Here” and I can’t stop listening to it. So, of course, now I want my old music back, plus all the stuff I missed before I realized how great they are (a realization which came about this month ) So if you live close to me and don’t mind me iPod-itizing your old Floyd CD’s … please let me know.

Every year at about this time, I stop taking photographs. It’s cold out, It gets dark quickly … blah, blah, blah. Kind of silly, though, because I own hundreds of dollars worth of flash equipment. I don’t even have to leave my house to take quality photos. So this year, I’ve signed up for a couple “side challenges” over at www.dpchallenge.com. I call them side challenges because they aren’t “officially” dpc sanctioned photo challenges, but rather, were created by other frequenters of that site. I won’t go into details of the challenges, because really … you don’t care But hopefully I’ll be able to produce some images this winter that I’m proud of … but only time will tell.

Hopefully this year I’ll post a bit more than I did last year, but that’s not a promise

Turns out, I didn’t buy Chester Copperpot. It was back-ordered until the end of the month and I didn’t want to wait. So instead, I bought myself a 2-1/2 quart shallow sauce pan (click here for specifics). It’s nearly the same pan, except it has a flatter bottom which I think I’ll find more useful. Also, it’s only $30.00. This week I’ll be making this dish. It’s simple to make, looks yummy … we’ll see how it goes.

Pro’s family has been in town all week and we’ve had a blast. I didn’t do as well at Mario Kart as I would have liked, but still, I held my own (I have to represent for the older generation video gamer). Ty’s new girlfriend was a big hit, we liked her very much (although, she’s alone at my house right now, I hope she doesn’t steal anything).

Goals – New year, new goals. My only goal for this year to put together a “body of work” that would be gallery display-able. I’m pleased with the progress of my photography, but I’ve never but together a series of images that I’m pleased with – so that’ll be this year. At least 12 images, at least 11×14.

(added after original post) – I’ve removed every photo from the photo gallery that was taken previous to 2004. Due to limited server space, I’ll be keeping a 3 (plus current) year archive (2007, 2006, 2005, 2004). So every year, obviously, I’ll be deleting images from 4 years ago. Hopefully this will be enough. If I run into space problems in the future, It’ll kick down to a 2 year archive. I still have a copy of every image that was removed, so let me know if you want something.
