addicted to useless stuff

Published by milo under general

Apparently, I’m a stuff coveter. I want everything. Do you know how hard it is to save money when you want everything? Pick a price range, I can name at least 5 things I want in that range right of the top of my head. It’s an illness, I think. So I guess in this regard, I’m glad to be married to a woman who won’t let me spend much money. The problem, of course, is that I don’t get to spend much money :)

I wish the world would stop creating cool things, then I’d be ok. Below is an extremely shortened list of cool things I want to have. Some of them, I’ll probably buy at some point, others I may never buy … but man they’re cool:

The new shuffle
A MacBook Pro
A Kayak
An Electric Go Kart
A Gas Go Kart
A Tiny Cell Phone
The Canon EOS 5D
The Leica M8
A Bigger TV
A Cool Camcorder
A New Bike

Did I forget anything? … no doubt about it :)

Pro’s Graduation

Well, its been a year and a half since graduation, but I just realized that I never posted any pictures. My head was full of wedding bells and all things wedding at the time and graduation didn’t really seem all that important. But, I guess it was. :) Not in a couple months I’ll be done paying off all my loan forgiveness and I’ll be able to look for a new job if I want too… we’ll see. spam comments

Published by milo under general

i’ve turned off the ability to comment on this site. deleting spam has become a daily issue – and i’m annoyed. i’ll most likely turn it on again, but not now. you can still comment on our photoblogs (links below), and you can e-mail us thru the “about us” page (link below).

not positive too many people are actually looking at this website, anyway … so really – i’m probably just talking to you, dad :)

my new old camera

Published by milo under Uncategorized

I got this little gem on e-bay for $30.00. It’s at least 24 years old, perhaps as old as 34 years. I’ve always wanted a rangefinder, and now I have one. Will I use it? Probably not that much, but it wasn’t that expensive, so who cares. It works without a battery, but in order for the exposure meter to work – it would need a battery. Of course, they don’t make mercury batteries anymore, and that’s what it needs. I have other options which I’m going to look into.

I’m taking a class at HVCC to learn how to develop my own black and white film, and I already have a film scanner – so who knows, maybe I’ll use it alot :)

I love my iPod

Published by milo under general

I’ve had my iPod for 10 months, now. Back when Pro and I bought them, they were the “IN” thing to buy, and a few friends predicted that once the fad died down, I’d never use it. To be honest, I was nervous of this as well – but that hasn’t been the case. I listen to it almost every day at work. I’ve used it to transport files. Pro & I both have used them to show photo slideshows on TV’s for family (we both have over 1.5 Gig worth of photos on our iPods). We also used them to watch TV shows that we forgot to tape (Lost – $2.00 per episode) – don’t forget you can play videos on your TV like normal from the iPod rather than say a VCR. We’ve used them for travel as well (the entire movie – The Chronicles of Narnia is about 1 Gig).

Apple has just come out with updated iPods and iTunes – so I thought I’d give my review. 2 thumbs up :)
